With all the scandal that is going on with H. Weinstein I hope it will not hurt the WACO series. Learnt on Wikipedia that the Weinstein company was producing it. Hope the series doesn't get pushed back or worse cancelled. This could be a huge moment in Melissa's career and hope it won't be damaged by it.
I don’t see any ramifications. It has been an open secret for at least the past 10 years about Weinstein’s abhorrent behavior and business practices . I expect if anything, the company will eventually change its name to distance itself from this.

I think she will promote it, as I said, the name has already been take off the IMDB page, and probably all other promotional material, there are far too many other BIG NAME FILMS with the name of Weinsten on them, and those actors will promote those films with or without the name still in the credits. The company has the name, there are 2 brothers, Harvey was not a part of this TV venture in person, or otherwise, just the company. No reason for anyone to feel uncomfortable about promoting their work.

I agree with Kelly. Weinstein's fall will have no effect on the promotion of the Waco film.

Just because it has Weinstein as the distributor, etc....won't mean a thing. The company has fired him, he had nothing personally to do with that film.
In fact, other than the first trailer, and there will be more....Weinstein Company is no longer listed on the IMDB.com "Waco" section...and I would venture to say that the name won't be on anymore of the trailers.....very doubtful there will be any fall out. It is a Paramount Production, along with Santa Fe Studios.

Waco is a six part miniseries. Because of the Weinstein connection, Melissa may feel uncomfortable promoting it.
That's a good point.
I think the hypocrisy of certain circles is starting to show. I read an article yesterday (I'll try and locate it), that Harvy actually had it in his contract FROM the company, that as long has Harvy payed his own legal fees, his behavior was allowed to continue. *goes to locate article* Be right back....

I think the series will be fine since his own company fired him. They are also already looking to change their name.
